Arielle was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that furthered her passion for natural living. Who you are in your professional life:
I had my baby boy Zachary, 14 months ago so it has been interesting navigating where I want to be in my professional life. My passion for natural beauty and wellness has been a constant for the past 6 years, but now I feel a strong desire to educate other women/new moms on the importance of non-toxic personal care products. That was the impedes in recently creating Veer Living. Veer Living is essentially turning onto a path of living well. I always lived and was inspired by living a healthy lifestyle but being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease was when I started veering onto a path of living well and becoming more aware of the unnecessary chemicals we put on our skin. Through Veer Living I share products and services I believe in and hope to inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle. Stay tuned to see what direction this ‘veers’ in…
I recently curated the new Baby/Mama section at The Detox Market in Los Angeles. The Detox Market is a beautiful store that houses the most pure, unique and coveted products based on three criteria: zero toxicity, efficiency and style. I have worked with The Detox Market, doing Marketing from when they first launched in 2011. In efforts to develop this new section of the store, we partnered with a unbelievable charity, Baby2Baby and created The Baby Bundle: A collection of six essential products for baby and mother. All profits from The Baby Bundle will go directly to Baby2Baby’s mission: providing the many underprivileged, low-income children ages 0-12 with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.
I’m also currently involved in Marking and Business Development for LA Holistic Dentistry – the leader in holistic dental approach.
Who you are as a mom:
I describe motherhood as the hardest, most rewarding job you could ever have!
Saying that ‘I’m in love’ is an understatement! The overwhelming feeling of joy I get from this little boy makes all the sleepless nights so worth it. I have learned so much about myself through the eyes of my son. I think all mothers should use this as the greatest gift. The most important lesson I have taken form this experience is to BE PRESENT! Being present and enjoying those little moments that you will never get back. Recently, I have been juggling a lot and at moments feel overwhelmed, so I need to continuously remind myself of this, and to realize everything will get done! The balance is a constant struggle that I think most working moms deal with, however, the fulfillment I get from the work I do is incredibly important to me and who I am as a wife and mom!
Your skin needs:
My skin is constantly changing. I think this is the case for most women. The cycle of hormones, weather, stress and diet are all components that effect this. Hydration for me is extremely important. Every morning I wake up and have 2 big glasses of water with my probiotic. If I don’t do this right away, I most likely will not do it through the day! Along with using great products – it is important to realize that skin health comes from the inside! Eating healthy and keeping hydrated will have a positive effect on your skin – and make you feel amazing!
What are your hobbies and talents?
I love SPA-ing solo or with a close girlfriend! It gives me time to really decompress – if I have the guts to leave my cell in the locker! Montage in Beverly Hills and Laguna Beach are close-to-home oases!
My go -to work out is Pilates at Natural Pilates in Beverly Hills – Pre and post pregnancy it makes me feel incredible! I try to lock it in 4 days a week.
Playing tennis with my husband is our couple’s activity – we are both super competitive so it gets intense but makes it much more fun!
The one OLO product/or OLO ritual that you do for yourself. Why do you do it? How does it make you feel?
I cannot live without my One Love Organics Gardenia + Tea Antioxidant Serum! It is permanently in my shower and I mist it on my damp/wet skin every day! It hydrates while giving my skin a great glow…The scent it super calming at night but makes me feel rejuvenated when I use it in the morning! A beauty ritual is not only beneficial to your skin, but it allows you a chance to step away from the day and give yourself 10 -15 minutes of self-love – something that all women and moms deserve! For me, taking a bath with great bath salts after my son goes to bed is the best! I follow this with misting my OLO Gardenia +Tea Antioxidant Serum all over my body, then comes my facial regiment which I change up constantly!
